Short answer. EVERYONE! Pilates is great for any age or fitness level. Whether you are a beginner or an athlete, Pilates will work for you. As for what kind of results you can see? There's a lot! Expect an increase in flexibility, balance, mobility and overall strength. Pilates can also result in improved concentration, body awareness and even aid in stress management and relaxation.

Joseph Pilates said it best... "In 10 sessions you will feel a difference, in 20 sessions you will see a difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body." That being said this can be a tough one to answer because everyone's situation is different. If Pilates is your only form of exercise, 2-3 times a week is optimal. Some clients even come 5 times a week! However, once a week is also beneficial and you will see and feel a difference. The most important thing is consistency!

We want you to be comfortable at FSP, so wear comfortable clothes! We do recommend form fitting clothes rather than anything to loose fitting as you will be doing exercises where no loose clothing can shift. (Think shirt over head or loose shorts showing more than planned). We don't wear shoes in Pilates and socks are optional. I prefer no socks, but if you choose to wear socks, grippy ones are recommended. If you would like to bring a water bottle or drink, we just ask that you do not bring glass containers.

For the safety and security of our students and their property, as well as the integrity of our classes, we will lock the studio door 5 minutes after class starts and will not permit late arrivals. You will still be charged for the class. If this is your 1st class at FSP, please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can give you a tour of the equipment you will be using as well as giving us time to get to know you a bit!

Out of respect for our instructors, we ask that you cancel your Private &/or Duo Session 24 hours in advance. As for classes, we ask that you cancel 8 hours in advance. Remember our class sizes are small, so clients are trying to get off waitlists! Failure to cancel within these time frames will result in the loss of your session or lesson from your current package.
